Welcome to CamMenu ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using this application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

1. Service Description CamMenu provides AI-powered menu translation, ordering assistance, and cloud-based history synchronization. The service uses location data to identify nearby restaurants and artificial intelligence to recognize text. CamMenu is a supportive tool only. Actual menu items, prices, availability, and final orders are subject to confirmation by the restaurant.

2. User Accounts To access certain features (such as cloud backup), you may be required to sign in via Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments (⚠️ New & Critical) CamMenu offers optional subscription plans ("Passes") that unlock premium features such as unlimited scans and cloud storage.

• Payment: Payment will be charged to your iTunes or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Free Trials: If a free trial is offered, you will be automatically charged the subscription price at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the original subscription price.
• Cancellation: You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.

4. Refund Policy All purchases, including subscriptions and one-time passes, are processed directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). CamMenu does not handle payments directly and cannot issue refunds. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple or Google support according to their respective refund policies.

5. Acceptable Use You agree not to use CamMenu for any unlawful purposes, including uploading illegal content, attempting to reverse engineer the app, or using the service for unauthorized commercial exploitation.

6. AI Recognition & Disclaimer CamMenu relies on third-party AI models (e.g., Google Gemini) for image recognition. Results may vary based on image quality and lighting. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of translations or pricing information. Please always verify with the restaurant staff.

7. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, CamMenu shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use of the service, including ordering errors, misunderstandings, or allergens issues.

8. Changes to Terms We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the application after changes constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
